Our journey begins with our founder and chef, Sevim Cumpian.
Originally from Turkey, Sevim was a nurse before life changed in 2003, when she met her husband, an American soldier stationed at İncirlik Air Base. Love brought her to the United States along with the rich flavors of her homeland. That moment changed everything. Love brought her to the United States and with her, she carried the heart and soul of Turkish cuisine.
Missing the tastes she grew up with, she began cooking for friends and family. What started small quickly grew. In 2014, she launched catering services across Oklahoma, gaining a loyal following especially within the military community. She later expanded with the Turkish Delight Food Truck, sharing authentic Turkish street food across the state.
Along the way, her food was trusted and enjoyed by major companies like Boeing, and loved by countless loyal customers.
Today, Turkish Delight Restaurant is the next chapter of that journey.
